Baked Beef Ziti

This is actually a Weight Watchers recipe, but it's yummy (as are a lot of WW recipes, in fact). This is a good way to get your cheesy pasta fix if you're trying be healthy. Of course, if you're not trying to be healthy, feel free to add more cheese. ;) But really, it's the herbs that make this recipe. Mmmmm, rosemary!

12 oz uncooked ziti (I usually can't find ziti, so I use penne.)
1 tsp olive oil
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
1/3 lb raw lean ground beef
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

Pre-heat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package. Drain and set aside. Meanwhile, heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat; add garlic and saute for 2 minutes. Add beef and cook until browned, 3-5 minutes; drain and return to heat. Add oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper; stir. Cook until herbs are fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add tomatoes and bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Cover a 4 qt casserole dish lightly with tomato mixture. Top with half of ziti and then half of tomato sauce and then half of cheese. Repat layers. Bake for 50 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
